Crochet Olympics Gold Medal

Yeah! I finished it (except for buttons but that will have to come later)

I learned a lot from this little sweater. Mainly that I had forgotten that I don't like to crochet garments. I like crochet for the textural interest and it just doesn't work for me in making sweaters. I will have to stick to knitting them.

Maybe it was just this pattern which you can get here: Bernat Pretty in Pink

Just a quick update...

Finished Knit Sweater #1 (Just need to weave in ends)

Making progress on Crochet sweater. The stitch pattern is too tight for my liking and it tends to twist too much..

Valentine's Day

I love Valentine's Day.. even if it just another reason to get flowers.

My hubby always comes through. (He did forget my birthday one year and I guess he'll just be making up for it the rest of his life .. just kidding .. )

Happy Birthday!

My beloved, you are three today! You have enriched my life in ways I never thought possible. You are no longer a baby but you will always be my baby. My baby girl.

The United States will always celebrate your birthday with you because you just happen to share Abraham Lincoln's birthday. He was an important leader from long ago. You are the future.

More news from afar

John's granddad is quite the world traveler. He has been sending us the coolest postcards. Between postcrossing and him, we are having the best geography lesson!

Thanks Gene, safe trip home!

Day 1 , KO and CO

Here's my progress during the Opening ceremonies. What was up with the disco music while the athletes were entering? Did anyone figure that out?

Crochet Olympics

Okay, I'm a sucker for being put under pressure, but I always seem to do better if I have a deadline. Soooo, I signed up for the Crochet Olympics too. I am going to make a baby jacket from a Bernat pattern book I have.
